Chicken Bone Broth Recipe

Place in Pot or Slow Cooker:

2 tbsp of roughly chopped Ginger
1 tbspTumeric
12 Black Peppercorns
1 tbsp Rock Salt
4-6 Chicken Carcasses (organic carcasses are always smaller)
2 Stalks of celery with leaves(you can add any leftover vegies like broccoli, beetroot and always save the ends to add to broth)
2 Carrots
1 Apple
A sprig of Parsley – add in last ½ hour
3-4 bay leaves
1 Brown onion
6 Cloves
1 Swede
2tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

Note:

We recommend using organic vegetables (Terra Madre is a reputable, local option) and purchasing the chicken carcasses from CanningsFree Range Butchers (they have free-range and organic options).

Cover ingredients with filtered water and heat on low for 10-12 hours (the longer you cook, the more nutritious the broth), then strain. Once the broth has cooled, place in fridge overnight and skim off the fat layer the next morning.
